What does this application do?

This application is a Postfix Milter that allows you to create and manage email processing rules for your Postfix mail server.

With this application, you can define rules to modify email messages based on various criteria, such as sender, recipient, subject, and more.

You can perform actions like adding disclaimers, stripping attachments, modifying subjects, and other email manipulations.

Can it be tested before buying?

Yes, the application can be tested before purchase. After installation, the application operates in Demo mode by default, allowing you to explore its features without limitations, except that each message subject will be shuffled. To access the full functionality without restrictions, you can obtain a Trial license key valid for 90 days.

What does it mean that the message subject is shuffled?

When the application is in Demo mode, it modifies the subject line of each email message for which rules apply by rearranging the words in a random order.

For messages that do not match any rule, the subject remains unchanged.

Can I import my settings from MSH Traffic Policy, MSH Disclaimer & Signatures or MSH Autoresponder?

Yes. MSH Postfix Milter replaces these three applications, and the Settings page can import the rules and templates of each of them. Point the import at the settings.xml of the old installation, with its templates directory next to it, or at a tgz archive of its whole etc directory. Imported rules are added to the rules you already have, nothing is replaced, and the import ends with a report of what came across and what did not.

Which Java version is required?

Java 21 or later, for both the server module and the administrator panel. Versions 1.0 and 1.1 ran on Java 17; install Java 21 before updating to 1.2 or later. See the Java installation guide.

License

How is the application licensed?

The application is licensed with a single annual fee that covers unlimited servers and unlimited users. There is no need to purchase separate licenses for each mail server.

What happens when Trial ends?

When the Trial period ends, the application will stop processing rules. It's something different from Demo mode, where the application processes rules but shuffles message subjects. In this mode, messages are not affected by any rule.

To continue using the application without limitations, you will need to purchase a license.

When the license expires, the application will stop processing rules.
